Detroit in Black and White

So I finally got back to home. Arizona was fun stuff but was back at school developing this film. The negatives came out great was really stoked about that. And very excited to scan these in at high-res edit them up a little bit and make some prints out of them, also want to make traditional black and whites out of these I don't think it will serve it justice if I don't. But with these images you can get that abandonment, very ghost town feeling about some of these places in the metro Detroit area. CLICK ON IMAGES TO ENLARGE.

Well here are some of the 35mm color slides I shot out there. I was using Provia 400x. It's a pretty nice film. Really can't wait for school to start up get the digital labs. Scan some these images in high res using the drum scanner and really seeing the difference between them. But overall these slides don't express the Detroit area that well. When school starts I will post the black and whites when I develop them I shot more black and white out there then color. Just because I have been shooting color for the past two years, and going back to the basic black and white it will be interesting to see if my style in color can transfer smoothly into black and white if not then I am probably doing something wrong. So I finally got my color slides develop from detroit there are some interesting ones. And of course when I went to pick up the film two of the photos didn't come out because I forgot to load film in those holders sweet job by me. But these are some of the 4x5 slides that I took using Velvia 100f and Astia 100f. And tomorrow I will have some of the 35mm and in few weeks time when school starts up the black and white images will be posted. Oh an most of these images arent of Detroit itself but mostly on the trip out there. But yeah enjoy.
